The FrontLine Practice Test will help you become familiar with the FrontLine Video Testing System for Law Enforcement test format. The FrontLine Video Testing System for Law Enforcement is designed such that you should be able to do well without prior experience or training. However, many people find that a practice test reduces test anxiety, making it easier for you to demonstrate your true ability on the FrontLine Test. This is not a study guide.
The FrontLine Video Testing System for Law Enforcement was developed to measure specific aptitudes of law enforcement applicants. There are two components to the FrontLine Practice Test, including human relations and a sample of incident observation and report writing. All test items were developed through rigorous research with dozens of panels of experienced law enforcement professionals. You don't need experience to answer the questions in this test; common sense is always your best guide.
Many departments use the FrontLine Video Testing System, however, this does not mean that they use all portions of the testing system. This practice test includes the test of human relations skills and a sample of the incident observation and report writing test, but ultimately it is up to the specific department as to which components they utilize.
There are two ways to purchase the FrontLine Practice Test:
1) Online / Streaming Video
If you have a high speed internet connection such as cable or DSL, the cost of a password for the online FrontLine Practice Test is $14.95.
2) Online / CD-ROM Video
If you have a dial up connection of 56k or slower, we recommend that you purchase a password and the companion CD-ROM for $16.95, plus shipping and handling. It is the same online practice test, but the video segments load much faster. To see if you would do better with the companion CD-ROM, play the sample question. If the video takes a long time to download or stops frequently when playing, then you should buy the online/CD-ROM option.
Each option buys you a password that is good for taking the six question FrontLine Practice Test twice.
There is only one version of the FrontLine Practice Test.

56k or slower modems are not fast enough to stream the video. If you have a dial up connection and purchase the companion CD-ROM, you must have an operating CD-ROM player.
The video portion of the test requires Windows Media Player, version 7.1 or higher. Down load a free copy of Windows Media Player here.
